TEHRAN (FNA)- The Pakistani border guards killed a notorious terrorist while he was trying to cross the border into Iran.

Nour Mohammad, alias Baba Ladla, was killed by border guards while he intended to cross the border with Iran.

Baba Ladla was a wanted terrorist in Karachi’s Lyari area and a member of Aziz Balouch terrorist group. There are contradictory reports on who has shot and killed the terrorist. Pakistan's Express Tribune said he "was killed by Iranian border guards near the Pakistan-Iran border on May 13". “Baba Ladla was crossing the border when Iranian border guards opened fire at him. He received three bullet wounds and had died on the spot,” a source across the border said according to Express Tribune, adding that the guards had opened fire after Baba Ladla’s car failed to stop for routine security check.

Yet, independent sources said the terrorist was shot dead by the Pakistani troops.

Nour Mohammad was wanted for committing numerous crimes and offenses such as murder, kidnapping and drug trafficking while more than 120 cases of complaint have been filed against him.

Pakistan's Intelligence Service in a communiqué had earlier announced that Nour Mohammad fled to Baluchistan after the Pakistani army and security forces conducted joint operations against his group in Karachi.

Sources in Islamabad told FNA bureau that Baba Ladla intended to travel to Dubai, UAE, from Iran.

Meantime, a Pakistani security official said the killing of Nour Mohammad is just the first outcome of the new round of Islamabad's cooperation with Iran in area of border security.
