Leo Messi’s Iranian doppelgänger
It’s taken much less a week for this story to explode.
A few days ago, pictures started doing the rounds in Persia of Leo Messi’s identical twin.
The discovery of Messi’s doppelgänger has been promoted by the Mehr News Agency, while the name of Messi’s unbelievable lookalike is Reza Parastesh.
He’s now getting famous
This week Ruptley TV have caught up with the Iranian Messi to interview him.
Speaking in Farsi, Reza Parastesh explained his story as follows:
The first time that I seriously decided to take a photo with sports clothes and introduce myself as the double of Messi, my father encouraged me, He said – do it.
It was the match between Iran and Argentina and Messi scored a goal in the final minutes, prompting Iran’s exit from the World Cup. My father is a football fan, so he called me and told me ‘don’t come home tonight’ because he thought that I scored that goal.
He didn’t let me come home.
Reza Parastesh is now getting mobbed on the streets of Tehran, as members of the public ask him for his autograph and photos.
